Tina’s top 3 bronzing products used on Mamma Mia 2 – Here We Go Again

Tina Earnshaw Makeup Designer Mamma Mia! 2

I am currently working on “Mamma Mia 2 - Here We Go Again” with a fabulous array of actors: Lily James, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep and Piers Brosnan to name but a few! My make-up kit is nothing without my brushes, but the products I use must be equally first class. We have been filming in some very hot locations, so my make-up design for the actors has incorporated lots of bronzing work and added glow to the skin. Most actors or models are very skin-care savvy these days, so they are covered in high SPF creams before make-up, then we cheat a tan. To achieve this bronzed look I am never without the following products:

Liquid Bronzer Serum:
By Terry Densiliss Sun Glow

This is an intelligent tanning serum containing smoothing and firming components to even-out the skin’s texture. The entire Densiliss range is a favourite of mine as it imparts a matte luminosity, perfect for camera. The ingredients and finish of Densiliss suit all skin types, but are most noticeably fantastic on my mature skin actors. The final look achieved with this luxurious product is natural, golden and exquisitely refined skin. Thank you Terry for your Densiliss products!

Best brushes to use with this product:
Tina Earnshaw Blush Cream Brush number 8 in Japanese Nylon

This brush I use to evenly apply product to the skin in sweeping and patting motions.

Tina Earnshaw Shader Brush number 10 in Brown Synth Hair
My shader brush does the hard work for you! In feathering motions, it blends the product into the foundation without leaving streaks or patches.

Pressed Powder Bronzer:
Tom Ford The Ultimate Bronzer
My station is NEVER without this fabulous bronzer. It is one of, if not the best pressed powder bronzer around. It imparts luminosity with a fine balance of brown, gold and terracotta pigments to make a flattering and gorgeous bronze tone. The packaging is heavy yet sleek, divine and luxury… Mr Ford knows how to make bronzer a dressing table ornament. I use this product on the high points of my actors’ faces, dusting in circular motions to add that finished sun-kissed touch.

Tina's Tips Tom Ford Bronzer

Best brushes to use with this product:
Tina Earnshaw Blush Brush number 2 Goat Hair
My blush brush applies bronzer in a purposeful, soft way onto the skin. I designed this to pick up just the right amount of product on the bristles, in a shape that allows you to choose where to apply. Many brushes have a shape that applies product everywhere! This brush puts you in control.

Tina Earnshaw Powder Brush number 1 Goat Hair:
My powder brush is large and generous for an even application of bronzer onto the face and body. This brush when completely clean is also perfect for seamlessly blending the product together after initial application with my blush brush. Any powders can be applied, buffed and softened with an easy swoosh of this soft brush.

Cream Bronzer:
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel
A classic product!
This is really great for medium skin tones, and can be used before or after foundation to warm up the skin. It is slightly more terracotta in tone than my other favourite products, hence why it is appropriate for the warmer over porcelain skin tones. This gel-cream formula adheres beautifully to foundation to give a sublime sun-bathed look. I buff a thin layer over cheekbones, brow and décolletage to radiate warmth.

Best brushes for this product:
Tina’s Multi Brush Number 15
One of my absolute essential brushes! You can apply and blend creams to the face with ease of precision.

Shader Sculpting Brush Number 10
The best quality synthetic fibres of this brush create an airbrushed finish to the skin. Ideal for the cream, liquid or gel products, easily blended around the contours of the face.
